Today I brought my mom in from Longview with her cat that had a back injury. He couldn't move his back legs and screamed when you would move his body. We brought him in wrapped in a couple towels and a blanket.. mind you he can't move or walk at all. She had him cradled in her arms. We didn't have a carrier with us and wouldn't have considered putting him in a carrier cause we didn't want to hurt him anymore than he already was.... when we got in to this vet office which I already bring my pet too the receptionist told me we can't come in to the build if the cat isn't in the carrier. I told her I can run home which is across town and grab his carrier so can she wait here? Keep in mind this cat is in bad shape. She said no she can stand outside and wait till I get the carrier . It is cold and raining and neither one should be standing and waiting in the rain. Then she offer to sell me a animal carrier if I was interested. Then I ask since this was an emergency couldn't we get him back in a room instead and she said sure it will be 500.00 dollars for him to get a room. Tell me what is wrong with the receptionist. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT LIKE THAT!!! Lady you are seriously a sad excuse for a human..... Never will I recommend the place and would highly recommend going somewhere else cause they do not have the best interest of your family member/ fury friend. Thanks for everything companion pet salmon creek!!!
I love this place. I had to put my pitbull down and it was one of the most traumatic moment of my life. The staff was great. Especially the doctor. A few days after we were at home grieving our loss and we got a moving sympathy card signed by the staff. Included were paw prints of our dog. They went above and beyond what they need to do. Since we got another pitbull and 3 cats and I wouldn't consider taking them anywhere else. Thank you Salmon Creek Companion Pet Clinic
