Colleen Houde

We were looking to try and prevent forclosure as well as having someone help us deal with our less than ethical mortgage company, Ditech aka: GreenTree, we came across Edgar Hall's name under the higher rated names, and reviews spoke well of him. We liked him after our initial conversation and same for a follow up conversation, our only problem in those instances was my not being able to get on the 2ND call, but that was due to my cell phone needing to be replaced. However communication between us and the office was terrible,we had to resend information multiple times after we failed to get responses on various messages we had sent over the course of a month, including or request for a fee schedule/agreement a few times but didn't receive anything for 3 weeks, we had important, time sensitive stuff we tried to get responses on and it would be at least a week or more before we were able to get a response from the office. While Edgar Hall seems great when talking directly to him, the office communication is a fail point, with things getting missed, which just causes confusion and frustration, in the end it was probably a boon to have that confusion and frustration get us reffered to a firm in Tacoma, although I will be testing out office communication speed and accuracy before hiring them. The only reason we didn't end up losing money with Edgar Hall's office is because they took 3 weeks to get a fee agreement (which turned out different than initially discussed) to us and then because it was missing much of what had been our reason for hiring him as part of what the fees covered we questioned it and requested it be added before signing. As I believe any good lawyer will tell you be sure it's written correctly and contains the fees and services you expect to utilize before signing it. Ours didn't so we didn't. Anyways good luck. A Little While Later a Curious thing . shows Up Below. Funny, They responded down below already, to bad case communication is not so speedy, although given the freaky fast response speed, within an hour of me posting, and the inaccurate information this person provides I suspect it's a hired service that monitors clients online reputation and is alerted to reviews below a certain star rating. That would explain the positive reviews I read, which obviously didn't include communication issues between client and firm, it should be illegal to allow these services to exist, I don't mind rebuttal comments, they don't do as much harm as positive reviews written by these same companies, because we ended up wasting precious time based on reviews I now know was the work of an online Ratings Booster company. There is no way the office or lawyer himself would have searched for bad reviews and responded within an hour or 2 of it being posted, unless of course that's what they do instead of using the time to respond to client cases, which I seriously doubt, it just wouldn't make sense. So now I don't how I'm supposed to trust the positive reviews I read because I was sure I could tell the fake reviews from real people's experiences, but I wouldn't have guessed the response below was from a Booster Company if it hadn't shown up so impossibly quick, the inaccuracy I could have attributed to a misunderstanding of our request, but It was just a fluke that I came back here to show my husband my post, otherwise I may have never realized this lawyer employs a ratings booster service, for shame!
