"Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well."
~ François-Marie Arouet aka Voltaire
Colleagues view this statement from a position of knowledge and skill but it is also true for the laymen: the patient, who has given up his personal control and safety, thus entrusting his well being to a learned doctor of dentistry who has chosen to specialize in treating people suffering horrific dental pain, life threatening infections and bone loss; every single day.
I was referred to Dr. Jason West by my wonderful dentist, Dr. Craig Smith of Comfort Dental. I had a raging abscess that flared up with a vengeance, caused by a botched root canal at the hands of a different practitioner done in the 1990s.
Every person in Dr. West's office is a professional. His staff know their jobs and unfailingly conduct themselves with efficiency, courtesy, dignity and kindness, toward one another as well as the patients. The cultural behavior of an office reveals a lot about the 'boss' - Dr. West is gracious, caring, gentle, thorough and an expert in his profession.
I had a two stage treatment that required separate appointments. Like anyone, I loathe needles but the hygienists who administered the numbing shots ( Emily and Katey) were so very tender and considerate that the process was easy. They were very thorough and by the time Dr. West began working I could hear the drill but I felt NOTHING and had no fear of pain.
Throughout the process Dr. West and his assistant (Carolyn) explained each step of the work and checked with me to assure that I was alright.
Dental abscesses are nothing to toy with or ignore. If left untreated, they can cause a plethora of health problems or even death.
I credit him and his staff with saving my life.
The motto for The Center for Endodontics is "Exceeding Expectations" - The truth of the matter is that they "Exceed Excellence" - Every Single Day.
