I worked with Terry and the rest of the crew at Bike Tech when purchasing my first road bike. Bike Tech did not have the bike I originally intended to buy in stock, but then again, neither did Trek. That was not the fault of Bike Tech and they took the time to check the Olympia store and offered to order one for me. The bike I was going in for with the 2019 Trek Checkpoint ALR 5, 54 cm. Instead of waiting for the bike to be delivered, I decided to check out the alternatives. Terry took the time to go over all the details of each bike and was very happy to answer any questions I had. Before long, I had decided to go with the 2018 Trek Domane SL 5, 52 cm (I'm shorter than I thought, apparently). I couldn't be happier with the bike. But, this isn't a review of my Trek bike, this is a review of Bike Tech. So, back to Terry and crew. Terry helped me pick out the right gear and made sure the bike was properly adjusted to my size. The mechanics in the back gave the bike a quick once over and even polished up the finish for me. I rolled out of there with a very nice bike and as a very happy customer. Unfortunately, when I got home, I noticed that the seat post cap had been pretty badly scratched up. I called Bike Tech and informed them of the scratched seat post cap. Rather than the fight I was expecting, they told me to bring the bike in and they'd take a look. I went in and they replaced the part right away and apologized for the scratches. That's top-notch customer service in my book. While I've stopped by Bike Tech a few times in the past for parts, etc., this was my first major purchase with them. I couldn't be happier. Terry and crew were very helpful, very well informed with regards to the products they sell, very much so cyclist, and very professional. They have earned a customer for life. Thank you!
Just wanted to let the WORLD know that, once again, your shop has done an amazing job on my bike. I have been using your shop for about 23 years. I make ALL my purchases here, and only use your shop for check ups. I have just picked up my bike from it's first service stop. It needed a couple of parts replaced. I have a history of stretching chains and wearing teeth off sprockets. When I asked who did the work a gentleman was pointed out. When I went to say ' Thank you', he said "It wasn't just me, it was him, him, and him too" pointing around the shop. Work commute is 64 miles a day. D.O.P.E.S. is 88 to 164 miles. . Day Off Pedal Early Start. As is today. I've done several work commutes so far. Today is the 3rd D.O.P.E.S. run. Keep up the GREAT work!!! Thanks again, Alex Anderson
