We went with high expectations given the numerous excellent reviews. The calamari was adequate, the breeding not particularly interesting and the dip was rather like thousand island dressing. My husband had a pasta dish he said was good. I had the Beet salad. Frankly, very disappointed! romaine lettuce ripped up, seemed like a whole can of canned mandarin oranges, a smattering of pecans, some goat cheese and the beets were just ok. The vinaigrette was nondescript. When I asked for tofu they said they had run out! Of tofu?? Really?? Disappointing. Our initial waitress was not particularly friendly and lacked any effervescence fand halfway through the meal we lost her unexplained to a much friendlier person- have no idea what happened. The atmosphere is just ok but again fairly nondescript - bare concrete flooring and black vinyl booth Is certainly nothing that added any ambiance. The flourless chocolate cake was the best thing about the whole meal. I would not go back. The food was adequate but not outstanding. There are far nicer places to eat
The lady at the hotel recommended this fantastic place to eat. The service was quick and the people were super friendly. I had the Cajun Pasta and it was delicious. Thanks to all the staff at Ambrosia from a couple of Canadians.
