The renovations they have done make them competitive with the apartments also owned by greystar on ridgetop, but just by reading reviews on here rent has increased 400-800 per month in the last year.
Unfortunately the renovations are just okay. Everything is still really cheap and since moving in we have had to make a lot of maintenance requests to fix things. And in the common areas things are not always accessible or broken. Like the water fountain in the gym or you can’t go to the bathroom if you go to the gym after the office is closed. Also the valet trash we spend way too much on will skip our apartment frequently, I’m guessing because we are on a bottom floor kind of underground. On top of that they have made some unwanted upgrades in the past few months.
We have been charged per day for using the new package concierge (which you have no choice to use or not) they implemented in the gym because we were out of town when we received a unexpected package. Which is a complete joke. They are now charging for covered parking, each unit will have a space assigned but if you have a second vehicle you will either have to find an uncovered space or pay 35 per month for another covered space. In front of my building there are no uncovered spaces. And the ones that are kind of close, not really, are taken or reserved by a motorcycle, and there is maybe 10 spots. So you are forced to pay to have a spot so you don’t spend 45 minutes trying to find parking 3 buildings away uphill or risk being towed.
THERE WAS NEVER A SHORTAGE OF PARKING SPACES BEFORE THIS WAS IMPLEMENTED. And what do you get for 35 a month? The covered spots aren’t even lighted.
I’m mostly upset because we chose to move here because they weren’t charging unnecessary fees and now they are, and at an increasing rate.
