I have a thing for deli meats. Its probably the new yorker in me that demands a sort of sliced meat refinement. I understand that stacking one's sandwich with one third of a pound of THINLY sliced meat is key to flavor and balanced. Now this isnt an all sandwch rule but a prettty reliable standard.
So it is very frustrating when the deli counter girl doesn't understand when i ask her to slice mybmeat thinly.
Im no racist but it would be nice if we spoke the same language because at least for me a fat slice of roast beef is a deterent to buying my meats there.
And its a waste of money if youre a sandwich snob like me. I'll eat but i won't enjoy it.
