These guys laminated the floors on the vacant condo below us on a Friday and left all the doors and windows locked forcing US to breath the solvent fumes. Even with all the windows and doors open (during the winter time) we still could not escape the fumes. Even our filtered water had to be dumped. Then on Monday I inform them of the problem and they do NOTHING about it for two more days. On Wednesday I throw a fit and insist that I will call OSHA if the problem is not dealt with (by leaving the windows open). The managers (Lonnie) then tells me the fumes aren't toxic and that they can't leave the windows open because they leave their tools in their at night. I can't believe I had to tell them to remove the tools if they were concerned about them being stolen (BTW, this is on the OHSU campus), but that we shouldn't have to suffer the fumes from their work, toxic or not. Simply put, these guys DO NOT care about the health of others.
