The view of eagles and playful otters, immediately outside out window was enchanting. Staff are friendly and while service can sometimes be slow, we keep in mind that it's a wee small village with a small "labor force". The nearby Resort has some of the finest views (and lower prices) you will find anywhere. Your meal is a short walk from your room, and there are nearby improved trails to hike out and view shorelines that have changed little in a thousand years. The restaurant is in the remodeled former USCG lifeboat building. Two modern 47' lifeboats are stationed within viewing distance of the dining area, in the small marina. The sea and weather can be scenic and sometimes thrilling/volatile. It's a wonderful getaway from the inland cities. We have been staying, and dining there, since we visited this place by chance in 2009, and discovered that the people were very friendly and that unlike tribes that are closer to big cities and built casinos, this tribal group capitalized on their ancient forests and rugged seashore. While the food is certainly adequate, it's the whole experience that is restful.
