Let's be honest here: you can't avoid this airport. Everyone hates it but it's the only one close to Pullman and Moscow. So let's temporarily ignore how unprofessional, inexperienced, and rude the staff is and focus on what you need to do to not get screwed over: GET. THERE. EARLY. And I'm talking way early like 1 1/2-2 hours early. Their inexperienced staff moves incredibly slow and there's only two counters. I was literally told I couldn't board while waiting in line. They won't compensate you or even offer an explanation. So if you can, drive. Plan your trip out and drive either to your destination or another airport. This is NOT a friendly, professional establishment. No one, and I mean NO ONE would go here if Alaska hadn't monopolized this area. 0/10 would not fly unless I absolutely had to.
