Coco Izakaya 2.0

We did not have a pleasant experience here. We found the food to be pretty bad. Maybe I ordered the wrong things, but my biggest gripe was with the "grilled mackeral". It's a LIE. The fish is basically fried. It is doused in so much oil that you can probably make a serving of fried rice with the excess oil. Yuck. Second, overall I felt like the food was not fresh. I am not accusing the restaurant, but seriously I felt like a lot of it was microwaved. Finally, why 1 star and not 2? Holy mother of god, is this place DISGUSTING? See photos. Window sills are dirty with food and stuff on it, bathrooms are miserable and yucky with exposed live wiring (in convenient reach of my toddler), the sauce bottle have seldom been cleaned, etc. If the public facing is so bad, you can use your own imagination on how it would be in the kitchen. This low level of cleanliness is a deal breaker for me. Won't return, won't recommend.

Food is good but the service is atrociously bad. Do not eat here unless you have over 75 minutes of time for lunch. Our group finished our meal then had to wait 30 minutes to get our check. This was the 3rd time we have been there because service can be dependent on your server however after 3 times having the same problem it's just a poorly run restaurant.
