This place is exactly what a modern gym should be. From my first class, I've never been more comfortable (or more sore). The first thing I noticed when walking in was the lack of your typical old machines and crowded environment. The floor of the fitness area is entirely open, leaving your trainer to be creative and focus exclusively on your personal goals and workouts that help you achieve them. Kettle bells, battle ropes, sleds, medicine balls, and a few more functional machines that line the walls helped me feel like the workouts and equipment are carefully designed. I signed up for personal training as I am preparing for a half marathon in June and needed more flexibility and cardio/functional fitness training. Michael knew exactly how to help, and every workout/stretch we did in my first class was something I've never done before. I would recommend this gym for anyone in the Newcastle area who wants to meet their fitness goals faster and in a fun, community environment!
