Bought a trailer from these guys, trailer is great, but I cannot use it because I haven't received my license plates and my temporary plates are expired. When I inquired with Trailers Central, I was told "I don't know, I think they were mailed last Friday, but not sure". So in other words, "not our problem". Trailer sure looks good sitting in my driveway. Trailers Central has offered no remedy and in fact the salesman got pissy with me because I am upset that I have been deceived like this. Great trailer, buy it somewhere else!!! Update, the owner of Trailer Central called me back to ensure me that the problem was not theirs, but they would have a duplicate set of plates sent to me. Hopefully that turns out to be the case and my "2nd" set of plates arrive within the next six weeks (although I have yet to receive my "1st" set of plates...7 weeks after purchasing the trailer). What a joke!! 2nd update, got a call last night (10 minutes after closing time) from the salesman at the Kennewick store...he has my 1st set of plates and I can come get them whenever I want. This hours after the owner told me that he already got a replacement set of plates (the 2nd set) and he would send them to me first thing in the morning. This isn't confusing at all!! I don't think they have any real management chain, at least at the Kennewick store. I repeatedly asked to speak to a manager and was told that was not possible. Seems like a bunch of undertrained salesmen running the place. I will go pick up my 1st set of plates tonight and see what happens. oh, by the way, I called the Washington state DOL yesterday and they have no record of anybody requesting duplicate or replacement plates for my trailer. At least someone finally took the time to find my 1st set and I can put them on my trailer. The owner, Jim, also told me that it is perfectly legal to use my trailer before installing the plates on it, this is contrary to what the DOL representative told me. That would be a violation of traffic code and I could be ticketed for that....great advice Jim. 3rd update, still have not been able to get my plates. I drove out there yesterday to find a closed store during posted business hours. Store has been closed since they told me that I could come get them any time I want....two days ago. I have made several requests for the owner, Jim, to call me back to no avail. I desperately need to use my trailer so I am headed to the dol office to buy a trip permit. Unbelievable at this point!
