Dr. Helpenstell is a wonderful, caring Doctor. He literally 'saved me' when I got Sepsis in my right hip from being @ Tacoma General and no Dr. wanted to 'take me on' @ Providence Hospital as I was a patient of another Dr. [who did the 1st surgery & who was not good]. Dr. Helpenstell took me on as his patient, and replaced the infected hip. He put a team of other Dr.'s around my care- including a Infectious Disease Dr. to make sure the new hip did not get infected.. Dr. Helpenstell is also is the kindest Dr.---genuinely concerned on how I was doing by stopping by to see me almost daily while I was in the hospital for almost a month. I highly recommend Dr. Helpenstell, not only as a excellent surgeon, but as a wonderful and caring Doctor. judith ben
