Tandem Dinner & Wine Bar

My husband and I were driving through Woodinville and somehow had never noticed Tandem before. We decided to stop on a whim. We were so glad we did. The crab cakes with blueberry compote were absolutely delicious. I've always simply endured crab cakes. I've never enjoyed them, but these were divine, very little breading with great flavor. We had the duck and seafood risottos for dinner. My husband might as well have licked his bowl. The risotto was the perfect richness. The scallops on the seafood risotto were perfectly cooked. I had a hard time giving my husband a bite. We had the bread pudding for dessert. We thought there was no way we would finish it because we were so stuffed from the risotto, but we wiped the plate clean. It was served with a caramel ice cream and all the flavors just popped and melted in your mouth. And the wine! I only had one glass but the Smasne alligote was ridiculous. I must buy a case of it. Not only did it pair perfect with my meal, but it was just great wine. I'm excited to try more of the drink and food menu when I visit again. Finally, I found the service to be great for what we wanted. We never felt rushed and had ample time between courses. I wouldn't go here if you're in a hurry, but why would you hurry when the food and wine are so good??? Great food, great wine, and of course, I had great company.
