Second and Main Apartments

Good: Great place. Very nice staff and neighbors in the building. Close to a lot of fun and food. Easy (ish) access to I-405. Very pet friendly with many parks close by!! Staff is awesome. I do love my apartment. Bad: Lacks sufficient parking. No A/C in unit (6th floor does have A/C). Occasional construction in and around building. Some aspects of the units seems rushed to finish (they were behind schedule) Ugly Shame about the noise of the area (Berliner Karaoke till 1:30am sun/mon/tues nights, 2-4 trains usually during daylight with about 30 horn blasts each, garbage trucks 7am mon/wed/random). The management, city, and local business either cannot, or will not, do anything about it. DO NOT RENT ON THE SOUTH WALL! If it was not for the noise, I would give it 4.75/5. With the noise, 3/5 If it ever changes, I will modify this review. updates: 2/3/18: I just noticed that water/sewer/heat for water is costing me $83.90 for this month (single occupant) and combined with $70 for trash, these fees are outrageous. I am taking away another star. 1/10/18: very little if any improvement on noise. Community events have tapered off (Were monthly when I moved in, yet none in 6 months save for a few morning hi & byes). 2/21/18: vast improvements. Outside noise has been reduced. Community events seem to be back. Giving back a few stars. good job. Response to owner: I have been in constant contact with the management for over 9 months. Nothing has changed. 90% of my complaint is from off property sources. I have been asked for an honest review by multiple people in your company. I voiced my concern, then waited 6 months for things to improve. They did not, and here is my honest review. (PS. The staff and resident turnover recently is not helping, but I have yet to be on personal terms with the new people)
