July 18, 2017 I found Spot Tail and Capt Keith while looking online about a month ago. I was looking to book a trip with my 20 year old son Daniel. Our initial date we wanted to fish was already booked up, so I checked elsewhere. No spots were available with any Puget Sound guides. Capt Keith was the only person to take the time to reach back out to me , asking if other dates would work. I am so glad we were able to make today happen! Keith cared enough to ask and WoW it was worth it. We got paired with Capt Justin and he could not possibly have been a more patient guide. My son and I are fairly handy fishermen, but complete rookies when it comes to "mooching". It took a while to get used to the depth of fishing, and it equally took a while to work through the dozens of "dogfish" we keep catching. (*With my sons special needs, it didn't really matter what we were catching, just as long as something was biting, and Justin cut and retied our baits feverishly and seemingly happily after each of these shark looking fish we caught!) We finally had the Kings show up late in the morning! Two excellent keepers later, plus a few Coho, and a huge native King that we had to turn back, and our day was a success! The gear was top notch, from rods to the boat. We had an endless supply of bait..and hooks! The education about the area and all of the fishing regulations was extensive. And of course the natural beauty of the area was astounding! My hope is that I'll have a reason to visit Seattle again and when I do, Capt Keith and Capt Justin will be hearing from me. My highest recommendation to them is a 5 star. I'd give them 10 stars if allowed! Good fishing! EB
