If I could give zero stars I would. I am furious about what I experienced at Firestone. Never ever go to this Firestone. Ever. April of 2016 charged me $660 to replace a distributor cap, something I later found out should have cost around $150.
August of 2016 dropped over $1,200 on new brakes and rotors. Not awesome but necessary. Fast forward to April of 2017, and the grinding starts again. Take it in to find out the caliper's need replacing but most of it is under warranty, paid $180.00.
August of 2017 belt tightened, $80 bucks, oil change $60 bucks, then in succession of about 12 phone calls later somehow my total is at $1,500 worth of work. They said none of it was absolutely necessary and could wait. And none of the work mentioned what happens next.
October 2017, while driving my brakes fail completely. I get the SUV to the Firestone, I made some jokes with the attendants which at this point I trust and feel friendly with from all my visits to the location.
The next morning I am told that this time it was the back brakes so unfortunately not under warranty and that the brake line has to be re-pressurized which may cause more issues down the line and the minimum I will have to spend is $1,000 and that once they get in there will probably cost more. They told me at this point I should probably just sell the car. So I put the car on offer up, and an old friend and professional mechanic happened to see it and bought it.
Turns out it was actually the front brakes. Which would have been under warranty. Nothing was wrong with the back brakes, just needed to be cleaned. This is not something a professional mechanic would mess up. This was a straight up LIE to get more money out of me and avoid dealing with the fact that the brakes they put in failed. My life was on the line, they didn't do their jobs, and to add insult to injury tried to swindle THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS out of me. This is fraud. And also terrible customer service.
