Sanctuary Apartments

Staff is nice, however, for a secure apartment building my car was vandalized and broken into the first month. We had a drunk try to force their way into our apartment. Elevators go out, alarms go off in the middle of the night and garbage piles up in the trash room. (Really stinks) The bookkeeper does all she can to keep the security deposit. Out of $599 deposit WE end up owing. Charged rent after we were already vacated, charges renters insurance days we were already insured and after we were gone. Claims damages when there were none. Said they had to replace the carpet due to pet damage. How did they find it? They lifted up the carpet! Something that could not be noted at the move in walk through before we moved in. We do have a dog but he has NEVER had an accident in the apartment. He was housebroken when we moved in. He wasn't a PUPPY! The carpet was old and they replaced it at our expense! They expect the apartment to be cleaner than what we moved into. I should have charged them for what I had to replace and clean. WE WILL SEE THEM IN SMALL CLAIMS!!! Glad we didn't extend the lease. Beware!!!
