You won't be able to get an ounce of sleep here, as each night, from 11pm - 6am, there are about 20 or more trains that blast horns so loud, that I don't understand how ANYONE can get any rest. I've never been so disturbed in my life. Also, parking here has been horrible. People park all over the place; in front of garages, on curbs, in front of the dumpsters, etc. There aren't enough parking spots for each unit to even have ONE parking spot, let alone 2. Also, after returning from school today, my roommates and I found a letter that states they will tow any vehicle parked outside of the designated parking spaces! The letter also states, after months of dealing with this issue, that they have decided to lease the parking lot of a park next door, to try and give enough parking spaces for their tenants. I can just see people walking in the snow and rain, having to cross through mud. Mind you, you have to cross through a gate to even get to this park. Spokane, the city right next to Cheney, has one of the highest car theft rates in the country. This park is NOT a place I would want to park my car. If you park in the park next door, you likely won't be able to even see your vehicle. For $1100 - $1200 in rent per month, this is unacceptable. Their letter further states that you can only receive a parking pass if you are ON THE LEASE, and that if you do not have a parking pass, you will be towed. This means that you cannot have overnight guests, parents, friends, family, etc - if they have a vehicle. I'm not sure about anyone else, but there is no way my roommates and I will be staying here another year. When our contract ends we are out of here.
