Outer Island Excursions

This outing was the high light of our vacation. I'm from the Pac NW, and brought my children to see where I grew up. I was so excited to go with them on the whale watching trip. Our captain and educator were both delightful and friendly. Nearing the end of the time we were to be out, there was news of a Humpback sighting nearby and they took quite a bit of extra time to take us out to view the whale. It's an exercise in patience to find them but when they reach the surface, it's just the most enchanting thing. One tip! Take snacks, we had the extra time added on to our excursion and we were thrilled, but not prepared for hungry teens, as our return back was much later, even though we wouldn't change it for the world.
