I am writing to tell you that Columbia Cabinets NW a subsidiary of Dykstra Construction, owned by Garret Dykstra has failed to pay a $5000 judgement to my wife and I. Their cabinets have failed from the moment of install, and they have reneged on their 5 year warranty.
Last week 10 bowls fell from a 6' high shelf damaging our marble counter and tile floor. Thankfully my wife was unhurt and the children were not in the room. The shelf fell due to shelf pin holes that are to large, and the pin being installed wrong by Columbia Cabinets.
My kitchen disgusts me every time I walk into it. Sad, as the rest of the home is so beautiful, with so much money and love put into it.
I implore you to tell everyone you are able about this experience, so that Garret Dykstra, his companies and Columbia Cabinets obtain as few projects in the future as is possible. I am angry, and no one else deserves to go through the time and heart ache I have had to endure.
