Great park, good trail from local neighborhoods to get there. My dogs used to love swimming in the lake (when it’s safe from the algae). Never had a problem with it until recently. Found out no dogs can be off leash, even if just a quick jump in the water. Animal control patrolling regularly there now, $50 fine. They were nice enough to let me off with a warning but big bummer for the pups even in areas that are far away from any people. Maple Valley is in need of an off-leash dog park. Can’t wait for the new Summit Park to open sometime later this year!! There won’t be swimming but at least all the dogs will have a place to run :)
