Rider Forseth

This is a great state park. They have a very large sandy beach with a designated swim area. In mid to late summer the water is very warm. On the beach there is a park store that sells supplies, ice cream, firewood, and even hot food (like chicken strips ect.) The camping sites are nice some are even secluded from the rest. The road around the camping site area is paved but is rough, narrow in places, and has some very sharp turns, i would not recommend trying to pull a trailer through there. We come here to go jet skiing and its one of our favorite places to ride. The boat launch can be kinda tricky for anyone who isn't the best at backing up with a trailer. Once your on the water you have to be very careful getting out of the no wake zone because there are a few places where there are rocks close enough to the surface to hit. In the morning the water on the park end of the lake is calm but the chop increases as the day goes on. Because of this we usually ride to the far end of the lake, where its nice and placid, and find a sandy beach to relax and swim.
