Ok, well I like to see this park as 2 parks. Alan, your wish is happening now as far as developing and expanding. Park 1 is now under development and it's coming along very well and I know people will love it. With the construction of the new homes across the street from the park, it'll go over very well when done. P1 is going to be for kids and families and dogs but on leashes. There will be an area where you can view the lake it over looks. I've never seen a lake lol but I can see part of it now. They brought in a mountain of fine soil to make this area overlook the lake. The park has the new why concrete walkway aligned with benches they put in, some still covered with protective plastic. The walkway has a nostalgic authentic log fencing around the whole place. Keep walking, there's another bench now leading to an area with a few nicely sized stationed tables to be used for picnics or family outings or parties. Keep going around you see nice newly planted plants, flower, shrubberies. Now you'll see what looks to me like a shallow water play area leading to the utilization of the natural tree trunks from the huge trees that were here designed and form to me to look like seating areas for several people on each big cut of wood or a fun jumping from huge wood cutout to the next, it's what I did lol they are close enough not to be dangerous and because of their size, it provides enough space not to invade someone else's privacy. You could also sit her and eat or spread your picnic layout here, that's how big they are and it's arranged so nicely. Now follow me up the walkway sloping up to the top over looking the brand new plaground and you are now at the top of the slide, if you choose to get down to the swings and monkey bars by the slide just raise your arms on the way down. You can continue to follow me around the walk way coming around the playground area, water fountain, bike parking, car parking I don't see what resembles construction of a restroom but it would be silly not to have one. Let's keep going, now facing that nice huge area overlooking the lake, you can go back up there or choose to continue on the concrete trail aligned with another bench ultimately leading to the short winding rugged trail of trees and other foliage. It's a nice meditative, beginner hiker, type of thing that leads to a fork leading you around in a circle going around trees and stuff but taking the left of the fork or even the right, it would eventually lead you to the Official and Only Legal Offleash Dog park double gated entrance for safety surrounded by the log fencing in P1 but it has wire as well and is tall enough that you large dog won't want to try to jump it and smaller dogs can't squeeze threw it. It rather large, enough room for dogs to run fast and long, you can play fetch, take time and train your dog or just let them be and have fun with other dogs while you may chose to talk with other dog owners etc. Poop bags are provided. I like this area, lots of ferns and a huge ole tree has to be like a billion years old (I kid) but it's growing very interestingly, it's cool! If you are here in P2 which I say started at the fork after the rugged trail, be prepared to possibly get dirty or dusty, it's not to bad but just keep that in mind. Only problem I have and I hope they consider making a change, I have suggestions, is that the gated Off leash area is open to any and all size dogs and as much as my babies want to go inside when the bigger dogs are in there, for their safety, I just lead them down the walk around the big circled trail that's a part of P2 maybe up the rugged trail to P1 and take in the construction and back to P2's dog park entrance gates where there's a parking lot separate from P1's lot off to the side and be careful, this area is gravelled but has so many big pot holes. I tell you you will be bouncing for a few seconds until you are on the road, I hope they fix that area as well. Ok that's it, sorry it's so long.
Very small park. There is a pretty short trail that leads to a small dog park. I wish they would expand this park and add views of the lake. There's plans for this park to be developed more, but for now it's not the greatest.
