I have been cashing a SSI check at this location for over 2 years. On August 1st I went there as usual and I was told by the lady at the window that they couldn't cash it. I asked why all of the sudden they can't when I have NEVER had any issues before. She said that it's their policy to make sure that the money is going to my child and that I would have to open an account in his name and deposit all funds. I was thinking that this is a mistake because I have never heard of this so called policy before, so I went inside. Once inside I was surrounded by 3 employees who were treating me like I was lying to them and rude, racist and had smug smirks on their faces. I asked to see the policy in writing, they couldn't provide that. Then I asked for the branch manager, she was "out of the building". Then I asked if they could look up all the numerous times I had cashed this same type of check. They told me that it was not necessary and they will not be able to do anything for me unless I opened the account. The branch manager acted like I was lying as well, but said she would look into it and call me the next day. No call back for 2 weeks. When I called to follow up with Megan the branch manager. She said that I should not have been able to cash any of those checks for 2 years and she would talk to employees and train them better. I did not get any kind of apology for the way I was treated and basically told to go cash it elsewhere like Walmart.....
