Many of the Methow Trails are spectacular, but the Gunn Ranch Trail, although challenging, is rewarding with incredible views of the Cascades. I'm a 50 yr old beginner/novice XC skier at best, and from flatlands of the Southern USA. Gunn Ranch trail is well marked and is roughly 4-5 miles up to the Rendezvous hut. It took about 4 hours round trip. Bring plenty of water and some snacks for energy. Really this trail is a must and one of the most scenic XC trails in the USA.
