We stopped in here on our last trip to Seattle and (much to our mutual surprise and chagrin alike) had a ball. More than a little cutesy for our tastes, yes. (Downright corny, even.) But we didn't stop in for ourselves -- we stopped in because a friend of ours who lives in Seattle had dragged her little girl along with us for the day, and SHE (the tyke) loved being able to dress up and have a tea party with "her" grown-ups. Is this my usual kind of thing to do while on vacation? Oh, HELL to the no! But we had fun, and that's what matters. The little girl in question still talks to us and her mother about "her special day" with Mother and her two gay uncles from Oklahoma. We'll likely return next time we're in Seattle, but only if the kid's still young enough to play dress-up and demand a tea party with her accompanying adults. P.S.: We did pick up a couple of cool gifts here for friends back home in OKC. Be sure to check out the gift selection here.
