I scheduled an appointment with them to see a oral surgeon for tooth extraction and implants, after explaining my situation they were able to get me in four weeks later since the surgeon is only there on Saturdays. Since I have a regular dentist I see already, I arranged to have my desist send over my records in advance of my appointment which my normal dentist confirmed were sent.
When arriving to my appointment they tried to take X-rays again, when I asked if they could use the ones I had just taken they stated they had not received my records. I then asked the cost and if it was covered by insurance, they said it was saturday and they couldn't check. (Did they not think to check eligibility prior to my appointment?)
At this point I was extremely frustrated since after waiting four weeks and records would have been an important part to understanding my dental history and work needed. My situation is somewhat complex as well. The receptionist was horrible and dealing with the situation and even went as far to blame her co-workers for the issue since she was not the one who scheduled an appointment.
Overall I didn't feel good about giving them my business or letting them operate on my mouth if they can't even follow up on medical records. If they had called in the four weeks leading up to my appointment to let me know the records were not received I would have ensured they were sent.
