Getting engaged is a wonderful moment in anyone's life. My fiancé ordered me a beautiful, custom designed ring. It is the one and only ring of its kind. Unfortunately, she ordered it a size too large, so we decided to have it resized. We always shop with Fred Meyer and we're told that not only does this location have the best pricing in the mall, but also the quickest return time. All I can say is, you get what you pay for. Don't expect anything less than the job getting done with this location. Matia was very kind and helpful with getting our ring sent in, and when it returned, poorly polished and covered in black (unremovable) debri, recommended that I have it sent back. We were hopeful that they were doing everything to take care of their jeweler (Tommy) mistake. Unfortunately none of the promises I was made were followed through with. When I returned to pick up my precious ring, I was greeted by an obviously disgruntled woman claiming to be the manager. She spoke to me with such disrespect, suggesting that I was wrong to expect that what I was told be delivered as promised. She stated that Matia would get "a talking too" and stated that the jeweler went out of his way for me. Though, in reality, had the resizing been done correctly the first time, none of us would be in this position ? Unfortunately, my poor ring is still covered in black, unremovable debris there are four small, but noticeable nicks in the gold. Looks like from a clamp or something sharp. When I asked what I could do about it, I was told, "there's nothing else we can do for you at this point" The disrespect completely caught me off guard. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially a customer who's paying you- ensuring you have a job. I feel that this location should consider new management and a new jeweler to avoid these issues in the future. The manager made sure to announce that she's been in jewelry for 8 years. It may be time to move on to a job that doesn't involve dealing with innocent customers who are simply expecting to receive what they pay for. If it's too much to ask to be responsible for the mistakes that your staff makes, you certainly should not be managing anything. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone. I suggest paying an extra 5 dollars, waiting an extra week or two and going to Kay's jewelers down the way. It's not worth the headache or disrespect and you won't get good quality work for your hard earned money.
