This gem on the north side of Queen Anne Hill, across from the Seattle Pacific University campus hosts 27 year veteran Rev. Mark Abbott, who's sermons are solid, inspirational, and practical for daily living.
The 9:30 service is more traditional, with hymns, the big pipe organ sound, choir in robes. Yet within this traditional format, music director Ron Haight is not afraid to innovate in ways that are satisfying. At 11:00 in the church gym a more contemporary service is held, with Rev. Abbott presiding. An easy listening rock-type sound predominates here; well done, but not everyone's cup o' tea.
Check worship times in August; one 10:00 a.m. service usually in the main sanctuary.
