Dr. Newell is not only a skilled and very experienced neurosurgeon, he has the ability to put you at ease in the midst of a very stressful and difficult time. When we discovered earlier this year that my husband had a large aneurysm right in the middle of his brain, we were understandably worried and overwhelmed trying to make the right decision on treatment approach. After consulting several other surgeons and an interventional radiologist, it became clear that Dr. Newell was the most experienced, and the right one to trust with this type of surgery. We are so grateful to Dr. Newell and his staff (thank you Rahee!) for their excellent care of my husband. Dr. Newell took as much time as we needed to answer our questions in advance of the surgery and took several follow up phone calls before we made our decision. He was very patient and did not push his recommended approach, and answered all of our questions along the way.
