Took my 2000 Sportster in for coughing and sputtering. It's been doing that since we bought it new. Jim is very knowledgeable. After replacing the seals going into the jugs and a few other things he said we should try a different carburetor. He had a used one we could try and that has done the trick. I would highly recommend him.
